After three years of investigations, prosecutors Enkeleda Millonai and Arben Kraja have arrested Jamarbër Malltez and builder Fatmir Bekteshi in connection with the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex.
In connection with this report, the security measure "Compulsion to appear" has been set for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
The journalist of Euronews Albania, Eni Ferhati revealed more details of the illegalities and criminal responsibilities that fall under SPAK on the former prime minister Berisha.
Ferhati emphasized that Malltezi is accused of multiplying the small plot of land he owned at the former Partizani complex through a privatization scheme with the influence of his father-in-law Sali Berisha, in the capacity of prime minister.
He added that the ex-soldiers who did not sign the privatization in favor of Malltez, have left office and therefore this process has lasted for 4 years.
The privatization process started in 2008 and ended in 20012.
"From the 3-year investigations, SPAK reached a conclusion that a scheme was used to privatize the former Partizani sports complex. And to illustrate what I am saying, the privatization started in 2008 and ended 4 years later, in 2012. According to SPAK's investigations, it turned out that officials of the army and the Armed Forces did not agree with this privatization, they refused to sign and left office. This whole process has gone through a long ordeal of institutions and therefore it took 4 years to reach privatization.
Jamambër Malltezi appears in the capacity of a person who has owned a small part of the land from the heirs and after this part of the land together with the builder Bekteshi and the influence of the former prime minister Briosha has built this scheme, where he has benefited from several apartments and an area large construction in this complex. The illegal activity that has been documented will be reported the next day by SPAK", said Ferhati.
