Former Speaker of the Parliament, Jozefina Topalli, said that the majority is using diplomatic troops abroad in order to influence the diaspora's vote.
The DP's political leader for the Diaspora stated that headquarters abroad were used. Topalli mentioned a case where, according to her, a trade union in Italy was also used, which called on Albanians to participate in meetings with the minister and Albanian officials.
According to Topalli, the administration is under constant pressure regarding job security, therefore the diaspora is seen as a free factor that can bring about political change in the country.
"This is part of the concerns related to the diaspora vote, the headquarters continue to be misused."
If a government official or minister stands by, if the vote is imposed, this is one of the concerns.
