The well-known lawyer, Kreshnik Spahiu commented on the political situation in the country. During an interview for the "SOT" newspaper, Mr. Spahiu shows the "trap" that the US-EU has set against corrupt Albanian political leaders to remove them from the political scene in 2025, while also revealing details of the legal package that will cause the earthquakes in the old establishment and the drastic changes that Rama will make in the socialist government. According to him, in 2025 Rama will remove all the ministers rumored for corruption and will build a government of experts. He even added that no minister will be a deputy and vice versa. Also, the analyst Spahiu reveals during the interview with the editor-in-chief of the "SOT" newspaper, Rigels Seliman, why Meta-Berisha-Rama will not be arrested for several years and two reasons why the prime minister has no interest in hitting Erion Veliaj.
- Mr. Spahiu, how do you see Edi Rama's anti-corruption resolution? Some voices say that it is against SPAK...
In this political equation there are two theoretical formulas:
- First, that Rama-Berisha have a scheme against SPAK to prevent him from the arrests he has designed.
- Second, that the Americans asked Rama to undertake the legal initiative for the second reform in justice.
The facts showed that the first version does not stand because the American embassy welcomed the resolution and requested that other political groups support it. I read more of an international "trap" against Albanian political leaders to get them out of the political scene. This project aims to do what partially happened in Kosovo. They forced political leaders to vote for a reform that shackled them and took them out of politics. The US and the EU intend to prevent corrupt leaders from entering Parliament by law in 2025. The legal package that will be voted on soon will cause earthquakes in the old establishment. But for this to happen, 84 votes will be needed to vote the change in the decriminalization law. The foreign experts will ask to extend the mandate of Altin Duman and SPAK prosecutors and will ask that the persons under accusation and under investigation do not run for deputy in the elections. An act in Parliament is expected soon.
- Is there a fight between Rama and Veliaj analyzing their statements and movements?
No, I don't think there is a fight between Rama and Veliaj, but there is no love between them either. Rama has no friend in politics. He is selfish and delusional in his journey. Rama does not know anyone as an advisor, consultant, partner or ally. He is a modern "Bajraktar" of the new century. Meanwhile, Rama is not against Erion Veliaj because, unlike Saimir Tahiri or Arben Ahmetaj, he is not an individual, but a team. Veliaj has been admitted to the SP with his group "Mjaft". They represented the new socialist elite to replace the old jackets of Fatos Nano. Today in the government there are 4 ministers from Mjaft and 8 deputies. Edi Rama has no interest in hitting Erion Veline for two reasons: - he has no interest in fragmenting the party. -Velia has international support. I do not believe in Rama's rhetoric and criticism against Erion Veliaj. I think they continue to have a good relationship. Another thing is their relations with SPAK. Edi Rama has no strength to order SPAK against Erjon Velija, nor political interest. Any other theory seems like a conspiracy to me.
- It is stated in a recent interview that Rama is seeking to transform his government with new but unknown trends. Can you give us more details?
The Assembly of the Socialist Party proved what I said. In 2025, Rama will remove all the ministers rumored for corruption and build a government of experts. No minister will be a deputy and vice versa. It will build a low-profile and non-political government.
- Why is SPAK delaying the attack on Meta and Kryemadhi when the evidence is in the square?
I have said it, I say it and I will continue to say it: three politicians in Albania will remain untouchable for several years and will not cross the threshold of prison. I have my doubts that Meta-Berisha-Rama will not be arrested despite many files or accusations. Albania is still unprepared to see their 3 leaders in prison. In Albania, the party is still stronger than justice.
- Can we have a technical government as Sali Berisha's group claims?
No, not at all. Technical governments are built by parliamentary crises. In the Assembly, there is no blockage of constitutional or voting majorities. Berisha's theories are empty spoons to remove the hunger of 200 militants who come down the alley. This method has been used for 34 years with rallies: "Early elections are coming". In the end, when you find fools, you do well. He keeps lying to people, they pretend to believe him. This is a funny story that makes me laugh.
- How do you see the position that Lulzim Basha is holding towards the latest political developments?
Luzim Basha has a golden moment to fill the gap, but he is still not getting the right results. He cannot build an anti-government coalition. He still cannot build a project against the duo: Rama-Berisha. Basha must understand that great causes cannot be achieved with small people alone. Today, the official DP has lost its role as the leader of the opposition. Basha urgently needs to cooperate with the new parties: Endri Shabanin, Arlind Qorrin, Agron Shehajn and Adriatik Lapajn. / Today
