The official list with the 12 new names proposed for ambassadors in the diplomatic headquarters of our country in allied countries is revealed. Names have been floating around for a few days now, but it is now official. The Assembly itself has announced that on Friday the hearings will begin in the Foreign Affairs Committee, where the proposed names will be heard on the program and the reasons why they should be appointed to these positions. After this process, the names will go to the President, who will most likely sign the decrees.
What stands out is that people who have nothing to do with the diplomatic profile will go to many of the diplomatic headquarters. In the list are some names of former MPs, whom Rama removed from the Parliament. Such are: Vasilika Hysi, Ervin Bushati and Fate Velaj. Also on the list is the name of journalist Mustafa Nano, who has been proposed as ambassador to Switzerland. Likewise, the Deputy Minister of Culture and the sister of a businessman.
As for specific names, Ridi Kurtezi leaves as ambassador to Mlain e Zi and is sent to the United Arab Emirates. Zhaklina Peto is appointed in his place. It is about the well-known jurist, who ran several times for member of the Constitutional Court.
Aida Sakiqi leaves the Netherlands and is appointed in Germany. Ervin Bushati is proposed as ambassador to the USA. Ilir Gjoni, currently ambassador to Switzerland, is proposed to become ambassador to NATO after the retirement of current ambassador Visho Ajazi Lika.
Former MP Vasilika Hysi will represent Albania in the UN mission. Meri Kumbe, currently the deputy minister of Culture, has been proposed as a minister in Israel. Former deputy Fate Velaj has been proposed in Austria. Blerta Kadzadej becomes ambassador to Turkey, while until now she was Consul General.
Majlinda Frangaj is proposed to the Vatican. It should be noted that the latter is the sister of businessman Aleksandër Frangaj.
Journalist Mustafa Nano has been proposed in Switzerland. Uran Ferizi is proposed in the United Kingdom.
The first 4 proposed to be presented to the Foreign Commission are Meri Kumbe, Ervin Bushati, Vasilika Hysi and Zhaklina Peto.
In the following weeks, the hearings will be held for the other 8 candidates proposed as representatives of Albania in the world.
