Former MP Myslim Murrizi has reacted sharply to the positions of the Democratic Party after the passing of former Prime Minister Fatos Nano. In a strong post on social media, Murrizi recalled an event in April 1998, when Democratic Party MPs held a meeting at the Sports Palace in Vlora, at the time when Nano was leading the government.
According to Murrizi, Sali Berisha was not part of that meeting, as he had only entered Vlora for the first time in May 2000. He recalls that at that time "the Enverists, together with the civil police", had attempted to disrupt the democrats' meeting with violence.
In harsh tones, Murrizi addressed those who today express sorrow for Nano's death, calling them "spurious" and "political whistleblowers" who once had ties to the Socialist Party or the rescue committees of that time.

At that time, some of you were with the SP, while the younger ones who were with the Qurra at that time had parents who were members of the SP and of the rescue committees, where the leaders were bandits and criminals.
A reminder to all you political whistleblowers of the Democratic Party and the opposition who have been tired for two days making statuses on FB and posting photos with the late Fatos Nano, expressing their thoughts and condolences with sobs and tears.
This has been the panorama, for almost 8 years, 1997-2005, of the sacrifice of the Democrats to keep this party alive, since in 2005-2013 Berisha leased power to these scumbags who turned into a bunch of thieves, and since 2013, almost everyone has fled to the SP where they have a lie and a place.
