Myslim Murrizi, former DP MP, considers Edi Rama's ultimatums to Mayors as a political show by the Prime Minister and an excess of his powers.
In 'Breaking' on Top News, Murrizi said that even mayors are being treated like district party secretaries in the '70s.
"Edi Rama is acting just like Enver Hoxha in the 70s, when he would go out and inspect party secretaries and executive committees in districts," said Murrizi. The former Democratic MP stressed that Rama is violating the autonomy of local government, while adding that even mayors who do not oppose him show that they have no face.
"They don't have the guts, because if they had, they would oppose it, they would react. But they are not mayors, they show that they have no responsibility towards the citizens," said Murrizi
He said that this intervention by Edi Rama will also be a negative point in the European Union's report on Albania.
"Edi Rama privatized IKMT, behaves like the first party secretary of the communist era, puts on a show and propaganda, and unfortunately, the entire society has fallen into his trap," said Murrizi.
He said that the DP will conduct an analysis for the May 11 elections, while saying that its leader, Sali Berisha, should face a vote of confidence. But Murrizi warned that with the current situation, with Berisha leaving, there will be 9 associations that will be created from the division of the DP.
