NATO should rely more on the European side. This is the advice that Prime Minister Edi Rama has given, referring to international developments and clashes between the US and the EU.
" We need to see what is really behind it, and in the meantime it is clear that as things stand, NATO should rely more on the European part ," Rama said.
From Yerevan, Armenia, where the European Political Community is holding its work today, in a statement to the media, Rama spoke about EU expansion, while saying that when the European Union is not complete, it cannot be strong.
" Another summit, another opportunity to share our common ambitions and concerns. It is another wonderful opportunity to see how much we can achieve together and how important it is to move forward with the unification of Europe ," said Rama, commenting on the Summit in Armenia.
Responding to journalists' questions about what the EU can offer to countries aspiring to membership, Rama said that this is related to strengthening Europe.
" It is not about offering something to two or more countries, but it is about thinking and acting quickly, because it is about Europe itself, the European Union itself. A European Union that is not complete is weaker and more vulnerable than a European Union that is complete ," said Rama.
