The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has reacted to the tragic accident that occurred this afternoon in Durrës, where two children lost their lives while a third is in serious condition in hospital.
The Head of State expresses that he is deeply shocked by this serious event. President Begaj writes that he also prays for the souls of the two minors who lost their lives, expressing sincere condolences to their families.
He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured child, who is receiving treatment at the Trauma Hospital.
In his response, Begaj called on the responsible institutions to take measures to increase road safety and conduct a full investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident. At the same time, he appealed to citizens to be more careful and responsible in respecting road traffic rules.
"Deeply shocked by the terrible accident in Durrës, where two little girls lost their lives and another was seriously injured.
I humbly pray for their souls! My deepest condolences to the parents and families of the two little angels. I wish a speedy recovery to the child who is hospitalized.
Responsible institutions should take measures to increase traffic safety, conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, and citizens should increase accountability for law enforcement.
The lives and safety of citizens are sacred!", writes President Begaj.
