From the People's Advocate to the investigative commissions, the scent of
Parliamentary opposition

The governing majority has again postponed the law to increase the salaries of the members of the Constituent Assembly. Judges' salaries will be over 6 million ALL per month, but the law requires 84 votes. SP cannot capture this quota and needs the votes of the opposition. Berisha's group and Librazhdi's group have opposed it, while Basha himself warned that he will vote in favor.

But in Thursday's session, Basha and his deputies abandoned the vote and the law stalled. It was expected that it would be put to the vote in Thursday's session, but it has been postponed again. The decision was taken today in the SP parliamentary group. The law on the reopening of betting has also been postponed. Even for this law, the SP will ask for the opposition's vote.

But it seems that in the meantime we will go shopping. The majority is holding the Ombudsman hostage. Historically, this institution has been left to the opposition. Last year, the SP rejected the DP candidate and in the following days the debate will be reopened. The SP initially warned that it will open a contest and then put the names to the vote, but since it needs the votes of the opposition, then it seems that the negotiations will begin. The fact that Basha promised to vote for the law and withdrew, shows that he wants something in return. Basha, together with those who follow him, gets around 10 votes, ensuring the number that the SP needs.

The SP also needs the votes of the opposition for the electoral reform. The commission is in danger of expiring and the EU and the US demand that the reform be ready before the next elections.

Meanwhile, the opposition needs majority votes for the investigative commissions. Bardhi's and Berisha's group have requested 3 commissions of inquiry and SP has it in hand. Also, Basha himself will ask for commissions of inquiry and the votes of the SP are needed. On the other hand, it is planned to intervene again in some justice reform laws, where consensus is needed. In short, there is a smell of shopping in the Assembly. / Pamphlet
