Plenary session begins, Parliament observes a minute of silence for the passing of Fatos Nano

Today's plenary session began with a minute of silence in honor of former Prime Minister Fatos Nano.

The request was submitted by the head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla.

The Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, expressed his condolences.

"He was one of the founders of the Socialist Party and served as prime minister, making an important contribution to Albania's orientation towards European integration. He will be remembered as a man who left deep traces in the history of Albania," said Peleshi.
