"A woman will be Prime Minister, the day will not be far off", what

Prime Minister Edi Rama, also the leader of the Socialist Party, during a meeting with socialist women and girls, as part of the official opening of the campaign for the May 11 elections, said that the day will not be far off when we have a woman in the position of Head of Government in Albania.

" Today the parliament is led by a socialist woman, who replaced another socialist woman. I am convinced that the day is not as far off as it might have seemed yesterday when Albania will have its first female prime minister, and I do not even dispute that it will be socialist."

"Look at how we have increased the participation of women and girls in local assemblies and municipal councils where the SP has been present the whole time, which has attracted others and when we have consistently made it a condition for moving forward with the approval of electoral laws ," Rama said.

Meanwhile, Rama has not overlooked the fact that a group of girls and boys from the FRPD of Vlora joined the Socialists in the May 11 campaign. Rama said that they did not come to the SP to become socialists, but abandoned the swamp.

" A girl, president of the Vlora branch of the FRPD, and also vice president of the Democratic Forum, Sara, who made the elections in this district in 2021 a success, joined our path to a European Albania. She and a group of young people left the swamp for a European Albania ," said Rama.
