Parties open election campaign today...
The Socialist Party has launched its election campaign. Edi Rama has decided to hold activities over two days.
A little while ago, an activity with socialist women began, where several of the ladies with the name of the Socialist Party took the floor one after another. Then tomorrow, there will be a large rally in 'Skënderbej' Square.
Meanwhile, Berisha opens his campaign today at 7:00 p.m. This time, there will be a completely different scenography, and campaign manager Chris LaCivita has intended it to be the same as President Trump's.
At the entrance to the boulevard leading to "Mother Teresa" Square, 11-1s will be placed, symbolizing the number of the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition on the ballot.
There will be 3 LED screens, one next to the Palace of Congresses, at the intersection of the Presidency and at the entrance to the square, which will display the history of the Democratic Party.
All candidates will remain seated in chairs and, in addition to Sali Berisha, his campaign manager Chris LaCivita will also have a say.
SP activity
The PS activity is being held at the Opera and Ballet Theater Hall. Edi Rama has decided to sit among socialist women. The first to speak was the leader of the Socialist Women's Forum, Evis Kushi. Her speech could not fail to praise Rama for supporting so many socialist women.
" I accepted for two reasons because I understood that the success of the individual is closely linked to the life of the neighbor. Therefore, I considered the invitation as a good opportunity to do something for my beloved city, Elbasan. Secondly, I accepted to give my modest contribution to the model of doing politics, without hatred, slander and mud, but with human communication and this is what I have tried to do every day ," said Kushi.
Meanwhile, Ogerta Manastirliu affirmed that the main goal of the SP is to secure 19 mandates in Tirana and fight hard for the 20th mandate.
" I am truly proud to be part of the same team, sharing in this hall and beyond the responsibility of the electoral organization of our political force that will lead to the tenth consecutive victory. At every level of leadership, women are represented with dignity. Thanks to the contribution of each and every one of you, not only in Tirana, but throughout the country, the Socialist Party is moving towards winning its fourth mandate ," said Manastirliu.
Meanwhile, the SP's political leader for the Tirana district, Elisa Spiropali, said that their secret to victory is Edi Rama.
" Every time Albania goes to the polls, the question arises as to how these socialists who win do it. What is the secret and today that we have entered the electoral period for our 10th victory with the SP, I believe that we can give some answers. Some say that the secret is that they have known power for a long time, they are the old party that has inherited the structures, the spirit and is the successor. Others say that it is their desire for power, the fact that they do not separate words from deeds and their distance from the truth is small, they know how to correct themselves, to be self-critical and to be better. To renew the teams, to have better alternatives and here they are.
Our opponents see it differently, they say with their mouths full that Rama cannot. For the first time I agree with them, they cannot defeat Rama and the SP. And in every studio and screen and wherever there is public discussion, these questions are asked and the answers are different. But looking at this hall today, and seeing the polls that women support us to a large extent and the enthusiasm with which they trust the SP and Rama, I say that our biggest secret is not a secret, but it is public, it is the support we have from the women and girls of the Republic of Albania who know better than others that it is the SP that has given them great space for communication and leadership at every level ", said Spiropali.
Then Edi Rama took the floor. He said that “Albania is a woman, Europe is a woman!”, while emphasizing that the Socialist Party is supported nationally by 56% of women and girls. Further, the Prime Minister predicted that on May 12, Albania will wake up all covered in pink.
" Mothers, sisters, daughters, wherever you are, today we have gathered simultaneously in all twelve regions of the country, where 12 competitions will take place, to officially launch the May 11 campaign. Since it was the only way to connect all the commando forces of the Women's Forum together, we thought it would be most appropriate to gather the leaders and coordinators of each region, to convey a direct message: Albania is a woman! Europe is a woman and the success of the effort for Albania 2030 depends on the mothers, sisters and daughters of Albania ," he said.
