Democratic Party MP Klevis Balliu spoke about the February 28 protest. Balliu said that a different protest is expected on Saturday, adding that the opposition will continue to diversify the protests, with the goal being for them to be continuous and not stop.
According to the Democratic MP, the request for a technical government will be achieved through opposition pressure, combined with meetings being held with internationals.
"I will not give details about the logistical issues of the organization, but one thing is certain, that it will be different from what it was. This opposition has a plus, that unlike the past, there is now an understanding of the alarming situation in the country, even from the international community, so there is an additional element today. The fact-finding group came from the EPP, I had the opportunity to discuss with them. Don't ask me what we discuss on a personal level. I have spoken about the issue of the AKSHI. I can guarantee you that the protest will be completely different from what it was last time, and the opposition will come with a diversification of protests. What we guarantee is continuity, we will try to do it in different forms. I cannot give details about logistical issues. The protest will continue and I think it will be successful. It is important not to stop ," Balliu told "A2 CNN".
He emphasized that internal pressure will be combined with meetings with internationals, mentioning his participation in the Munich Conference where he discussed several issues.
Balliu added that he is familiar with the Macedonian model and that, together with international allies, he has proposed a similar solution, referring to the OSCE-ODIHR report as a supporting argument for this initiative.
"We also come with an official request that is the transitional or technical government. The pressure that we as the opposition must exert from within, combined with the meetings that we are having with internationals. I myself was at the Munich Conference, where I had the opportunity to communicate for the AKP. I discussed and was informed about how the Macedonian model works. We have also made a concrete proposal with international allies, for an example such as the Macedonian model, for a simple reason: The OSCE-ODIHR report at the time when the law on the technical government in Macedonia was established, was 1000 times worse than the OSCE-ODIHR report in 2025," said the Democrat MP.
