Ilir Alimehmeti called for opposition mobilization on February 10, during a speech in Kamëz, accusing the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama of failure in education, health and security, as well as for the massive departure of young people from the country.

In his speech, Alimehmeti said that the main measure of the functioning of a state is the youth and the perspective they see within the country. According to him, the emigration of young people is a "remaining mark" for the current government.

"If we want to measure a country, we measure it by its youth. Do the youth see the future here or do they leave? If they leave, they tell the government: you have a failing grade ," he said.

Alimehmeti listed education, health and security as the three basic pillars of the state, stating that they are neglected. He mentioned well-known public issues, such as the quality of education, the functioning of the health system and issues related to public safety, including roads and the supply of food and medicine.

According to him, these failures directly affect the decision of citizens, especially young people, to leave Albania.

In this context, the member of the National Council called for the opposition and citizens to unite in protest on February 10, emphasizing that, according to him, in the face of Prime Minister Rama "there is no other way but force", which he described as a strong, sustainable and escalated response in the square.

"There is no other way against Edi Rama than force, except a strong and consistent response," declared Alimehmeti.

He also praised the Democratic Party supporters for, according to him, the party's revival after a difficult period, mentioning local leaders and the DP leader, Sali Berisha.

Alimehmet's call comes in a tense political climate, where the opposition has warned of protests against the government, while the majority has rejected accusations of structural failures, describing them as political rhetoric.

The protest announced for February 10 is expected to be another test of opposition mobilization and political conflict between the parties.
