The political leader of the Democratic Party in the Fier region, Gazment Bardhi, was in the villages of Roskovec, where he held a meeting with farmers and residents of the area.
During the meeting in the village of Suk, Roskovec municipality, in a farmer's greenhouse, Bardhi said that the Democratic Party's program provides solutions to some of the main problems that the village has today, especially in these areas where intensive agriculture has been applied for years with products that have also been exported abroad.
According to him, support for farmers is part of the 100-day emergency plan in the Democratic Party's program.
"We have taken what are the 10 main concerns that people have. So we have not come out to provide solutions to everything. Because you cannot solve everything within one mandate. Why have we done this? We have done this, because after 4 years we will come back here and we will confront the people with what we promised and what we have done. I promised this, I have done this. That is why we have not opened the bag to say that we will solve this and that. We have only taken what are the main concerns and that is why we have declared agriculture a priority. It is enough to support farmers with the fund that we have foreseen and with 2-3 things that are facilities and you have lifted half of the population out of misery", said Bardhi.
During a conversation in a greenhouse in the village of Suk, farmers raised concerns about the negative impact the "Open Balkan" project has had and the departure of young people.
"This Open Balkan also got rid of us. We can't compete with the Serbians, with the Macedonians... And so the Open Balkan buried us Albanian farmers. There's not a single person left in the village. I miss my grandchildren. I have 5 grandchildren and I don't have any at home," said farmer Ilir Ruko.
