DP MP, Jorida Tabaku, said that the Spaç miners are not asking for alms from the state, but according to her, only dignity.
She emphasized that the response the state is giving to the miners is only police violence.
"The Spaç miners have been protesting for days for dignified conditions and respect for their work. Their demands are minimal, legitimate and within every standard of the employer-employee relationship."
Unfortunately, the government's response is police violence against miners who demand their rights. This treatment is shameful and unacceptable! Last year, on behalf of the Democratic Party, I submitted to the Assembly the Law on the Status of Miners, which recognizes this profession as one of the most difficult and dangerous, to give them a dignified pension and deserved protection. Miners are not asking for alms, but dignity.
"They are not enemies of the state, but the pillar of Albanian work and honesty," Tabaku wrote on social media.
