Over 58 percent of ballot boxes counted, SP widens gap; new parties remain with

With 3,081 ballot boxes counted out of 5,225 (or 58.95% of the total), the Central Election Commission has updated the latest figures confirming the clear trend in favor of the Socialist Party.

The SP, with 420,558 votes or 52.67%, not only maintains its advantage, but is significantly expanding it, especially in urban districts such as Tirana, Durrës and Elbasan. The gap with the opposition is deepening by the hour.

The Democratic Party – Alliance for a Greater Albania (DP-ASHM) coalition has so far secured 271,806 votes, representing 34.04% of the total, showing a slight decline compared to the expectations of the united opposition.

Meanwhile, the race for third place continues to be interesting:

Tom Doshi's Social Democratic Party (PSD): 29,831 votes

Coalition "Initiative Albania Becomes" (Lapaj): 27,740 votes (3.47%)

Opportunity Party: 22,394 votes (2.80%)

Joint Movement: 10,512 votes (1.32%)

Euro-Atlantic Coalition Party (KEA): 9,453 votes (1.18%)

But despite the numbers, Lapaj, Shehaj and Qori each have 1 term so far.
