The Socialist Party's candidate for deputy in the Berat district, Ervin Demo, has stated that the situation in this district is calm and the counting process is continuing without problems.
In a live broadcast to News24, Demo emphasized that it is expected that all ballot boxes in the district will have been counted by the early hours of tomorrow morning.
"As is always characteristic of Berat, the situation is calm. The process took place in guaranteed conditions that allowed every citizen to freely express their will," Demo said.
He praised the campaign conducted by the SP as focused on citizens and the concrete problems of the area: "We focused on building a direct relationship with citizens, identifying needs and providing a clear vision for the development of the areas."
According to him, the most important thing at this moment is that the will of the citizens be counted and respected until the end.
In Berat, 186 ballot boxes out of 275 in total have been counted, while the current result significantly favors the Socialist Party. The SP has managed to collect 25,318 votes or 58.37%, while the opposition coalition PD-ASHM has received 30.22% or 12,110 votes.
Meanwhile, the Albania Becomes Initiative coalition also received a significant number of votes, securing 3,065 votes, or 7.07%.
