"Me or him", Braçe is not angry that he was left on the open

Socialist MP Erion Braçe has reacted for the first time after being placed on the open list of the Socialist Party in the Tirana District for the May 11 elections.

Through a post on the social network "Facebook", Braçe says he is ready for battle, despite emphasizing that the competition is unequal.

"This week has been difficult. I have had to finally swallow the brutal, exclusionary anger of "me or him", accept an unequal competition when I have only been here for 6 weeks, violate some principles that I hold sacred when I have to compete in an unethical strategy with my old and new friends" , says Braçe, among other things.

Braça's full post:

Ready! Once again! I will fight this battle this time too, I will get votes with a face, never without a face! I have no ministries, enterprises, assets, employees, public goods to distribute, the law has prohibited these; I have no business, money, bank accounts from which election money flows; I have no businessmen, neither before nor after, no obligation to them; I have no television, newspaper, portal, podcast.

Poooo, I have work to do and I want work to do! I have a mind for the right vision, a heart to include everyone and feel the same, a language to communicate with everyone, feet to walk and go everywhere, hands to shake hands with everyone. Poooo, I have the largest party in the country,

The Socialist Party, my party – I joined it at a very young age, I grew up there, I never used it for myself, I never harmed it, I never betrayed it; I never took it.

I am a socialist at heart and I am not ashamed to say it openly, loudly, everywhere.

I don't see it as a career tool, or as a means of personal glory, but as an opportunity to achieve good and common goals in the service of people - that's what every day has been like for me.

I will fight this battle in #Tirana, finally for greater Tirana – I have been running dozens of kilometers here for 6 weeks. This week has been difficult. I had to finally swallow the brutal, exclusionary anger of "me, him", accept an unequal competition when I have only been here for 6 weeks, violate some principles that I hold sacred when I have to compete in an unethical strategy with my old and new friends.

In so many years, I have learned that there are greater things than that; people, their lives in this country – well-being, equality of opportunity, work, health, solidarity, this country and its future are worth more!

That's why I'm deciding to fight this battle in Tirana;

From Rrogozhina, a neighbor for 12 years in a row - agricultural and livestock, Kavaja the same, villages in a row - the focus of an unfinished work for them and with them in the Assembly, Tirana, the second agricultural city in Albania, the same - agricultural; in the Combine where I was born and I have my people of blood and common life, everywhere in Tirana where I have received a lot of support and strength throughout my life, to stop at the 5, the symbolic unit of this city!

It is a call, then the elections come” – a good friend wrote to me the next day, Thursday. It is not done alone! So I have a prayer, first of all for every socialist: I know you are here, at the palace with arrows, Irfan Tomini, Vilat, Selitë Lart, Vasil Shanto, Commune, 1 Maji, Tirana e Re, Dëshmorët e Lirisë, Rruga e Kosovarëve, Petro Nini, Juridiku, Libri Universitari, Garda, ex-Blloku. You are bored, neglected, forgotten, taken for granted, unserved, but also full of praise for what we have done well with urbanization, roads, sidewalks, squares, lighting, water, energy - its price, schools, kindergartens, salaries, subscribers - medicines - bonuses for the elderly, known almost everywhere in Europe for the years of work here and emigration for pensions, justice, which for the first time in this country - with its benefits, slowness, shortcomings - exists, finally, the path clearly paved to become a member of the EU;

We have the ambition and the duty to do more, much more, so get out of the house and come, take everyone with you, to every corner of Greater Tirana, we are in our home, in your home, in the home of socialists, where there is room for everyone – men and women, boys and girls, there is room for the small and the middle, the forgotten and the impossible, the employed and the unemployed, the served and those who have not been able to receive the proper service for years, everyone who wants equal opportunity or vital solidarity – believers and atheists – everyone!

I am in this battle as always – to do the work for you! You are the employer and I love this job; I will not leave it in the middle for any career reason, I will not go anywhere else or even to become more than that, I want to be your MP, the MP of Tirana!
