The former candidate for chairman of the Democratic Party, Fatbardh Kadilli, says that the opposition still does not have a project.
In an interview for "Tirana Live" on ABC News, Kadilli said that there are worn-out figures in the opposition, who have been in politics for 30 years.
According to Kadilli, Albanians need something new. Regarding the protest called by Sali Berisha on July 11, Fatbardh Kadilli described it as a demonstration to show how many people he can gather. Regarding the possibility of Lulzim Basha starting a new party, Kadilli underlined that this too is not expected to bring anything new.
"After this calm, a routine will continue. The quarrel we had was closed, it is important that it was closed and the opposition will no longer spend energy to deal with a meaningless battle. A political force does not obstruct the law, it has political action and the credibility it creates. The lack of a stamp or flag does not hinder you if you have decided to do politics. It did not help Mr. Basha vula to enter the race, it did not hinder Mr. Berisha. Politics is beyond petty squabbles, but a lot of energy was expended. These energies would be better spent on an opposition project, which we still don't have. I am convinced that the party that calls itself the winner, will enter the political routine of an opposition party, comfortable with owning that part of politics that it calls its own. It's not a matter of time, not a year, if you give them 10 years, they will repeat the same thing. I do not believe that they are unaware of what they have chosen, but their dream is to see themselves in the seat of the deputy at the end of the next elections. In the model that sits behind the strong leader.
This political model is mental and moral bankruptcy for those who enter and think they are doing politics. A protest when more tires burn than there is human presence. It's not a protest. Protest arises out of necessity, man reacts. If you set a date, like a wedding, that's not a protest, it's a demonstration. I am good at gathering so many people. Nothing new can come in politics from people who are 30 years old. You can expect a surprise from a person you have not seen. It has been 30 years in the eyes of Albanians from the morning under the cash register. Albanians are waiting for something new. Not even Basha's party. The name Basha and the verb I will do, do not fit in one sentence", he emphasized.
