Opportunity Party MP Erald Kapri has raised concerns about the Albanian Government's project through the 'Mountains Package', calling it a robbery of the private property of Albanian citizens.
" If you have land in the village...open your eyes today. Because you may not have it tomorrow ," he says.
In a video message on social media, MP Kapri calls on all citizens to be careful and attentive to this project as they may lose their property in the village or in the mountains, as the Government will allow investments in unused land even if the investor is not the real owner of the land.
Kapri refers to a statement made by Prime Minister Edi Rama as he explained that the state, for the land where an investment will be made, does not undertake to protect the owner by returning his property to him, but promises a "ridiculous" compensation according to the 'Mundësia' MP.
" So Edi Rama says it himself: if someone else comes forward to claim the property, you are not protected by the state. Through the 'Mountain Package', someone puts their finger on your property and can build. While you have to go to court. Even if you win after many years of litigation, you do not get back the property, but a ridiculous compensation. This is serious. The state does not protect the owner but the occupier ," declared Kapri.
Erald Kapri raises the alarm that the model of extortion of public property by strategic investors is now also continuing in citizens' private properties through the 'Mountain Package'.
He brings to attention the cases of giving public properties in the South of the country, or in the Rrjoll region, to investors who have also affected areas protected by law, while demanding that this nonsense, according to him, end and that the state guarantee the private property rights of Albanians.
" It's the same model with public property. Like they took the tiny spot in Butrint, the beaches of the South with strategic investors, or Rrjoll. But now they have set their sights on private property.
Property is sacred. Property is the homeland. Without property, the future cannot be built. This nonsense must end. We must guarantee and return property to every Albanian ," he says.
