Dashamir Shehi spoke about the protests organized by the opposition. He stated that the rallies are losing their impact and are showing a continuous decline in participation.
According to him, the current situation shows the need for a profound change in the way the opposition organizes the political response.
The former head of the LZHK stressed that the current protests are failing to mobilize citizens and are turning into a repetitive process without new energy.
"I say it's not good for the opposition. There's an element of political pathos. This is not the right path. I'm concerned that this is a dead end, and it's coming and going and losing momentum," said Shehi.
He stressed that the low turnout is an indicator of supporter fatigue, adding: "You saw it yourself last time, there were fewer people. Why were there fewer people? It's the same people who come every two weeks, once a month, who get tired."
According to Shehi, a successful protest must arise from spontaneous citizen reaction and not be organized by politics.
"The protest is fueled by political ferment, but there is also a need for moments of enthusiasm, popular rebellion, and not driven by politics," he said, adding that recent developments have not produced any concrete results.
Shehi also criticized the internal situation in the opposition, stating that it remains closed and without real change. "The party is closed. Berisha has been chairman, Berisha will be chairman again, so they are wasting energy in vain," said Dashamir Shehi.
Focusing on the electoral system, he supported the idea of open lists, but stressed that this comes too late. "Albania is a very small country and regionalization of votes no longer makes sense. It has been stupid and a farce from the beginning ," Shehi concluded for "Report TV".
According to Shehi, the opposition must review its strategy and build trust among citizens, otherwise the protests risk gradually fading away.
