The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has reacted to the sudden death of Vladimir Putin's critic, Alexei Navalny.
Through a post on the "X" social network, the Prime Minister states that this tragedy underlines the importance of the unity and determination of the allies. He further writes that all must share the responsibility of upholding NATO's principles while facing complex challenges,
"I stand with President Biden and other allied leaders in honoring Alexei Navalny's ultimate sacrifice. This tragedy underscores the importance of Allied unity and resolve. The Munich Security Conference is an opportune moment to emphasize the importance of collective efforts, especially among NATO allies. We must all share the responsibility of upholding NATO's principles, and while we face complex challenges, we must not hesitate to go further. The 2% commitment is the minimum requirement, not the maximum. Albania remains committed to cooperating with our partners to strengthen our defense capabilities, including the revitalization of our military industry ," writes Rama.
