Democratic MP-elect Ivi Kaso has denounced the electoral crimes of May 11. He spoke about the DP's battle and its strategy against this "electoral farce".
He outlined the opposition's two priorities and stressed that he has denounced every irregularity related to the elections from the preparatory phase to the end of the electoral process. According to him, the diaspora vote was a highly distorted process.
"The action of the DP and the opposition after the May 11 election farce has 2 priorities; to reveal a panorama of what happened, accompanied by the facts and evidence that we have collected, some of which we have denounced and some not, but also to request through the institutions that manage the electoral process that appropriate measures be taken for what happened in certain districts. We have been addressed with requests for invalidation and in some cases for a recount of certain votes. We have filed every kind of irregularity related to the preparatory phase, irregularities on election day and the voting and counting process, as well as everything that happened in the districts in relation to what was done with the diaspora. They have brought about an extremely distorted process in the diaspora, especially in Greece and Italy. The irregularities range from the improper formation of commissions that were filled with administration to the crowding of voting centers. Senior administration employees are seeking to obtain an undeserved result ," he said. "A2CNN".
Speaking with concrete facts about the pressure and blackmail against voters, Kaso mentioned several cases where directors of administration, the tax and mortgage directorates were put at the service of the Socialist Party in Korça and specifically the candidate Besa Spaho. All these facts, he said, are in SPAK.
"We have also denounced them in the campaign, we have denounced the state machinery that was put in the service of the SP, with the names of directors that we have sued in SPAK, together with the elected MP Besa Spaho in Korça, the entire state machinery in Korça was made available to her, starting with the director of taxes who called the businesses that she was subject to control to the office and openly asked for votes for the SP and Besa Spaho. The mortgage employees did the same thing, the cadastre of Korça was made available to the same candidate ," Kaos emphasized.
A flagrant case, according to Kaso, was when Hipoteka officials went to the home of a DP candidate and offered her legalization in exchange for a vote for the SP.
"They went to Maliq in Libonik to the house of the candidate for MPs and promised her legalization in support of the SP candidate. It's that blatant. We took them to SPAK. They did not exercise their state duty at any moment but campaigned for the SP. We have flagrant cases ," said Kaso.
Kaso also emphasized that he has denounced the distribution of flour bags and money to vulnerable families. He said that we have facts and evidence for all of this, both verbally and visually.
" We have denounced the distribution of flour bags, we have denounced the other case that was caught with sound and image that entered the house of a family in economic difficulty and promised them money in exchange for votes. We have taken it to SPAK with sound and image and the same people said that we were joking. We have also taken it to the CEC and KAS. All this has happened in Albania, think about the diaspora, the consulate offices in Thessaloniki have become SP offices. The DHL operator openly claimed it on Facebook. We have them with sound and image that they gave us 100 thousand lek if we vote. We prove it with evidence and photographs from the field. They have not exercised their state duty at any moment but by campaigning for the SP. We have flagrant cases ," he added.
