The leader of the Republican Party and at the same time an ally of the "PD-ASHM" coalition, Fatmir Mediu, has commented on the May 11 elections, saying that the electoral process was manipulated and the opposition's duty is to bring the facts to prove this.
Mediu said that the votes were bought by organized crime, adding that there are no longer any essential figures of the SP in the Assembly, but people who, according to him, are unknown.
"The opposition's task is to bring the facts about the manipulation of the electoral process. Some results are clearly not the effect of the results of the candidate-voter report, but of criminal groups that want to have their representative in the Assembly."
"We do not have any essential figures of the Socialist Party in parliament, but we have figures who we do not even know who they are, who have not had any public activity, to have this activity that they have ," he told "News24".
Among other things, Mediu stated that the opposition's position is related to the fate of Albania.
"The opposition has taken a stance that is not simply related to itself, but is related to the fate of Albania, whether we will be in a democracy. Will the citizens decide who the government and parliament are, or will criminal groups decide," said the head of the PR.
