After Ilir Alimehmet and Lisandër Hoxha, another candidate from the Democratic Party has appealed the results of the May 11 elections.
Mimoza Hajdarmataj has requested a recount or re-evaluation of votes for the Tirana district. According to her, such a request comes after, based on the review so far, an irregularity of over 1,000 votes, in at least 6 CEAZs, has been found.
"The State Election Commissioner, with decision no. 1326 dated 24.05.2025, has approved the summary tables for the voting results in the Tirana District electoral zone. Attached to this decision, in the summary table of the results for our electoral subject, it results that I, Mimoza Hajdarmataj, received 5233 votes as a candidate of the open list. During the verification process on my part, I noticed several irregularities which could significantly affect the change in the result, in terms of my ranking in the table of candidates.
Under these conditions, I am submitting this appeal to the KAS, based on the following provisions of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania:
Article 124, point 1: Every candidate has the right to file a complaint about the actions or omissions of the CEAZ.
Article 125: The complaint must contain the facts, evidence and legal arguments to justify the request for amendment or annulment of the appealed decision…
…The above Voting Centers, but also many others, create the belief that the counting had problems throughout the Tirana district, creating reason for a recount and/or re-evaluation of all Voting Centers. Based on the above data, finally:

"Recounting and/or re-evaluation of all Voting Centers in the Tirana District; Changing the Summary Table according to the recount and/or re-evaluation of votes," Hajdarmataj's request states.
