Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu, while commenting on the May 11 elections, said that with the DP's defeat in these elections, Berisha had to step down from the leadership of the DP, as this is also provided for by the Constitution.
In a Skype call on the 'Frontline' show on Report TV, he said that if Prime Minister Rama announces early elections, Berisha will refuse to enter the elections because he will lose more heavily than on May 11.
" Theoretically, Berisha and the opposition are right to contest the May 11 elections. Because the elections are not up to the standard to be considered free and secret. Berisha should open his primary ballot boxes for once, because they tore up the minutes and put on lists whoever they wanted."
The constitution says that whoever is in the opposition and loses the parliamentary elections must leave the party and by what right do you demand respect from your political opponent when you do not respect yourself. In the eyes of the international community, this is a match won 7 to 2 and no one claims that the result was a victory for the DP. Even Berisha himself does not say that the DP won the elections.
"If Rama says we will go to elections, the first one who will oppose him is Berisha, because he knows he will not win. We have another problem that we have no guarantee of how we will go in the 2029 elections. The disadvantage that the opposition has today is also Berisha's biological age, because it makes it impossible to lead the opposition towards victory ," he said.
