DP leader Sali Berisha, while talking about the defeat in the May 11 elections, touched on the "Basha article" in the Democratic Party's regulations.
Berisha said that "Article Basha" is about elections, not farces, implying that he will not resign. He further reiterated his idea that the elections were stolen, while emphasizing that if they were real elections, Edi Rama would never have won.
The leader of the Democrats also stated that if Rama were to win the votes himself, there would be no need to distribute money to pensioners or forgive fines.
"Article Basha is about elections, not farces. Elections are elections, farces are farces. Farces are punishment for the opposition. Article Basha has no reason to change. The moment real elections are held, responsibilities are assumed. When there is a farce, there is no opposition that wins the farce. In the dictatorship, they had all the black things, but they called them elections and not elections. Because they were not elections and they knew that. They called it voting day. If they were elections, Edi Rama would never have won them.
Rama would not distribute money to pensioners if he won the elections; he would not forgive fines; he would not turn the administration into electoral workers...", Berisha said on "Debat".
