Invited to the show "NOW with Erla Mëhillin", Ylli Manjani and Kelvis Balliu were involved in a fierce debate regarding the May 11 elections.
Seeing Balliu's claims, Ylli Manjani was outraged, telling him that the DP is unbelievable in the accusations of election theft, as according to him, the DP should have at least the process papers to accurately document the theft it claims.
Manjani called it wrong for the DP to blame the loss on other people, according to him, blaming them for nothing, while it has not won since 2011.
Balliu replied that there can be no free elections when, according to him, people with criminal records interfere in the process, while the police do nothing. Manjani responded harshly, saying that the police are neutral and are not allowed to interfere in elections.
In the course of the debate, Balliu reminded Manjani of the period when he was Minister of Justice, saying: "Why did you, as a minister, request the intervention of the army in the fight against cannabis?"
Manjani said that he did the right thing by asking for it, but that he regretted it when he realized how things were.
Excerpts from the studio debate:
Manjani-Balliut: "You have forgotten how to win since 2011, you don't win, and you blame the bandits."
Balliu-Manjanit: "You were the Minister of Justice when you requested the intervention of the army against drug trafficking."
Manjani - To Balli: "Yes, well, I did well, but when I saw you lowering your head, I regretted it. When I saw you sticking to drugs and taking money from drugs, I regretted it," said Manjani.
