The EPP, the largest grouping in the European Parliament, decides to send a fact-finding mission to Albania. The decision came at the EPP Parliamentary Assembly following the request submitted by the democratic leader Sali Berisha, according to whom Albania has turned into a narco-state, while he has documents and facts proving links with the drug cartels of Sinaloa, Peru, Medellin, etc.
Berisha asked for help from the EPP and sister parties during his speech at the EPP political assembly in Brussels to send a fact-finding mission to our country.
The EPP Secretary General, Dolors Montserrat, stated that “we decided to do two missions, one in Lebanon and one in Moldova, but now we will also prioritize Albania. I think it is a good idea when you ask us for something, so we will set it as one of our priorities and objectives to do a mission in Albania.”
Berisha stressed that this mission is of great importance for Albania and Europe: "Albania is a major exporter of crime, drugs and immigrants. "This mission would be of great value to everyone," Berisha declared, among other things.
