The Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, commented in an interview with News 24 on Monika Kryemadhi's participation in the campaign for the May 11 elections, calling it a "big joke." According to Blushi, while Kryemadhi was inviting citizens to vote for Ilir Meta, he was at the same time attacking his closest associates.
Blushi stressed that the May 11 elections were manipulated and accompanied by pressure and threats against citizens, calling them "electoral terrorism."
He stated that the public administration has been massively used and that citizens have been threatened with their jobs. “8,000 heroes voted for Ilir Meta under conditions of pressure and blackmail,” Blushi said, underlining that the Freedom Party has begun analyzing the results and will complete the self-improvement process this week.
"This week we close the analysis process. We will cleanse the party of those individuals who have benefited from PL and Meta, but who are now close to Edi Rama. These individuals have taken their own face. The votes of the Freedom Party have been alienated.
So the votes were not wasted, because PL people are active. The party has a solid structure. Meta in his polling station did better than the rest of us who were free.
"Of course there is room for self-improvement. It was a party that was hit hard, while the party president is kept in extreme isolation," Blushi said.
