The Democratic Party has officially requested the opening of 43 ballot boxes, claiming that in these polling centers, the commissioners have marked the number zero in the column of unused ballots in the minutes. According to the DP, this fact raises suspicions of possible manipulation of the electoral process.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) administration has rejected the DP's request, arguing that it is a "logical error" on the part of the commissioners and not manipulation, as the opposition claims.
The Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS) has decided to verify four ballot boxes in the Vlora district, a process that is expected to begin on June 4, 2025.
According to the DP, referring to the figures published by the CEC itself, there is a difference of over 130 thousand votes between the ballots found in the boxes and the printed ones. The DP's request only refers to the ballots used within the country.
