The spokeswoman of the Democratic Party, Mirela Karabina, said that the DP expresses its concern regarding the involvement of the Rama government in corrupt affairs, such as the case of incinerators, but also the project for the construction of a tower in the center of Tirana.
Karabina says that PD and party leader Lulzim Basha call on SPAK to continue the work and to carry out the investigation to the end of the incinerators and any politician or individual implicated in it.
"However, we invite SPAK to seriously investigate every construction, including the newest tower in the middle of Tirana (Mountain of Tirana)" , says the reaction.
"The Democratic Party once again expresses its concern about the involvement of the Rama Government in corrupt affairs where the connection between politics and organized crime is clearly evident.
As in the case of incinerators, where SPAK's investigations so far have proven the direct connections of Rama's ministers with the theft of the century, in the case of constructions in Tirana it seems clear that the money of the underworld is being cleaned in towers and concrete.
The Democratic Party and its President Mr. Lulzim Basha call on the Special Anticorruption Structure (SPAK) to continue the work in the investigation of the incinerators and any politician or individual implicated in it.
Likewise, we invite SPAK to seriously investigate every construction, including the newest tower in the middle of Tirana (Mali i Tirana).
The visible and invisible threads of politics and money laundering of the underworld are the basis on which Edi Rama's power is built and stands.
Only the severing of these threads will be able to free politics from the hold of crime and create space for Albanians to improve their lives.
For this, the Democratic Party has also presented its initiatives:
- VETTINGU of politicians, "Follow the money and links to crime", will clean politics from the corrupt to end the era of corruption so that politicians are no longer at the service of the oligarchs and their criminal interests, but at the service of of public interest;
- The adoption of a radical legal package against crime and corruption at high levels, not only for the CONDEMNATION of corruption, but also the SEIZURE of the assets that come from these affairs that are hidden behind the oligarchs.
