Peleshi sets the date, the Assembly will convene on Wednesday

The next plenary session will be held in the Parliament of Albania on Wednesday at 10:00.

Meanwhile, the agenda has also been made public, where it is anticipated that the names of the chairmen and vice-chairmen of the parliamentary committees will also be voted on.

Although the DP has appointed 4 heads of parliamentary committees and 7 vice-chairs, it has not yet officially submitted them to the Assembly, as it is demanding the dismissal of Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi.

"We inform you that the plenary session of the Parliament of Albania will take place on Wednesday, September 24, at 10:00. (Order no. 9, dated 22.9.2025, of the President of the Parliament, Mr. Niko Peleshi)." - the announcement states.

This session is expected with great interest, following recent political developments and fierce debates in the Assembly hall.

The session on September 18th lasted very little and turned out to be beyond expectations with strong clashes between the parties, where Prime Minister Edi Rama was unable to finish his speech on the government program, while the latter was approved amidst noise with 82 votes in favor. The virtual minister's speech sparked debates, as the opposition considered it a mockery. Meanwhile, Rama announced that within this year, Diella will be physically present at the government table.

Tensions were such that there were Democratic Party deputies who threw the Constitution book at Prime Minister Edi Rama.
