The member of the leadership of the DP, Jonida Godole, debated in the studio of the show "The Unexposed" with the analyst and sociologist Ergys Mërtiri about the clash between the two parties in the DP of Vula.
While Godole said that the membership is looking for an alternative beyond Berisha and Basha for a winning DP, Mërtiri said that the group that has come out against Basha does not want the race because they do not win, while he will win because the anti-Berisha part of the DP is with him.

Jonila Godole: I would like these MPs critical of Basha to create a faction within the DP to show how much of a farce the process is for the president.
Ergys Mërtiri: This group that has come out against PD was at Berisha's New Year's luncheon and was then against going forward with candidacies in 61 municipalities. Today, this group says that we should postpone the reflection for another year and then elect the president, and this only serves Berisha. They say to unite with Foltore and put out as a clause without Berisha and without Basha. It seems to me that let's take the PD into Berisha's lap, because only he wins from this situation. We have two sides: One that will run a lame race, like the races in Albania, and the other side that won't race at all. They don't like the race because they don't win. Why do we know that Lul Basha will win? Because we know that the anti-Berisha part of the PD is with Lul Basha and not with those who say let's join Berisha.
Jonila Godole: I am afraid that you are completely wrong since the DP membership requires that it be a winner and where it is with an alternative beyond one leader and the other. This is what the membership thinks and not the structures that are appointed.
Ergys Mërtiri: Since this group can't beat Basha by election inside, inside this small hut, then what can we do: we don't compete. The process was taken over by the presidency, it was voted by the National Council and they say: we do not recognize the elections.
