Spartak Ngjela commented on the DP's protest in front of the Special Prosecutor's Office today, calling it "weak", as he accused Berisha of "holding the PD hostage and slave".
The lawyer said that "Saliu remembers that he is still in 1990 and should leave the leadership of the party", reminding him of the fact that he is already "non grata" and only "falls on Albania's neck".
"The protest was weak. There is no modern state that makes a protest before the Court, only Saliu who does not know at all what system he is in. He remembers that it is still in 1991. Albania is falling on his neck, we will see if he will be punished or not, he is in criminal proceedings. Are there revolts against the judicial power, it is an independent power, who is it that protests? He remembers that he is still in 1990", said Ngjela for Report TV.
He was also asked about the process against Ilir Meta and the possible scenarios to damage SPAK's work in the future. But the lawyer was clear that SPAK is not commanded by the Albanians, but by the Americans, implying that there are no scenarios that harm or stop the work of the new justice.
"SPAK is not run by us, it is run by American politics, Washington, it pays and has its experts there. We don't have SPAK in hand, how do you know how much SPAK's salaries are?", said the lawyer.
When asked about the elections of May 11, 2025 and the preparations of the parties, Njela said that Berisha is doing very badly in the polls, while Rama seems to continue his work normally towards the next mandate.
"The left is preparing for normal elections. She presented her program, well done. Elections are a must, the sooner the better. But the PD with Saliu do very badly in the polls. I got the polls from the experts and they are very bad. He should leave the PD, he is holding him hostage and a slave in vain, he is also non grata from America, he should leave that party", continued the lawyer.
Finally, an opinion about the vote of immigrants, for whom Ngjela said that "so far their rights have been violated", adding that the big parties are afraid of immigrants, because there are 1 million votes, since "they love Albania for themselves".
"We don't know who the immigrants are with. The law has not been issued yet, the law must be seen, as it has not been issued yet. Both are moral, the state pays for voting, it's normal, let it be done. Immigrant voting is a necessity because it is a violation of human rights. Wherever he is, he who has Albanian citizenship must vote.
The Albanian state must guarantee them, if it does not guarantee them, it has deviated from human rights. How does Rama know who they are with, or how Saliu knows who they are with, as there are 1 million immigrants. Those who do not want the vote of immigrants, do not want Albania, not the vote, they want to have their own Albania. They will vote in embassies and consulates, who will prevent them, no one, that's why they are afraid? Rama has accepted it as a process, now let's see", concluded the lawyer.
