The Council of Legislation met today where the issue of the immunity of Olta Xhaçka, who is accused by the opposition of having benefited as a strategic partner from the government, is being discussed.
The first to speak at this meeting was SP MP Klotilda Bushka, who asserted that it was not easy to find an expert to clarify the expertise and decision of the Constitutional Court on this issue.
Meanwhile, the deputy of the Democratic Party, Gazmend Bardhi, has been harsh, accusing the Council of delaying the process and the clear reading of the decision given by the Constitutional Court. According to Bardhi, the majority will come out as the only one who receives a protection to a minister who violated the law and the deputy to get the status of strategic investor. He further emphasized that the citizens have no bread to eat, while the minister has 5 million euros to build a hotel on the coast.

Now they want to take two months since they were busy. The implementation of the decisions of the Constitutional Court is important. Today they called and said we found the expert. This is a great mockery of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, delaying decisions. If you have decided to challenge the Constitution, you must continue this path alone. If you mock the implementation of the Constitutional Court, there is no more talk of efficiency. You can protect Mrs. Xhaçka. Don't continue this theater, why drag out this process. Continue in defense of Olta Xhačka. You will come out as the only majority that receives a protection a minister and MP to get the status of strategic investor. Citizens have no bread to eat, the minister has 5 million euros to build a hotel on the coast. The minister has decided to break the law and will have to go and face the Constitutional Court.
