The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, spoke about the work of SPAK. He said that the Special Structure has started working and giving concrete results.
He stressed that political parties should stay away from justice and give full support to the judicial system.
Basha also said that the DP amendments for SPAK were not taken into account in the Assembly, as according to him there is a reverse will to inhibit the work of this institution.
"SPAK is in the eye of the cyclone also due to the fact that it has started working and giving results and for this it deserves support. Of course there are no kartabiankas for anyone, expectations are high and this sometimes turns into a trap. Because good performance but not up to expectations may not be enough to curb popular disillusionment.
SPAK is still in the judgment of the citizens. Enjoys their support and should enjoy their support. For us as PD, it is important that SPAK be given total political support. Politics must stay away from justice.
The legislature has the duty to support SPAK, GJKKO and BKH with everything required. This is the reason we brought our proposals to the Parliament. But it seems that there is no will to help SPAK, but there is a reverse will to restrain SPAK. This would have consequences for today and the future of Albania", said Basha for "Euronews".
