The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who has been in prison for 2 months by decision of the Appeals Court of the Constitutional Court of Albania following the request of SPAK, has reacted on social media, expressing gratitude to all those who have found their way to his family.
Veliaj says he has been in prison for two months, although he has not yet been charged.
"I am still unindicted by an anonymous person who does not exist. No one has come forward to say that I have corrupted you. No one has yet come forward to say that I have corrupted you. Anyone who knows me knows that every day of my work I have helped anyone, anywhere, anytime with honesty," Veliaj writes.

Dear friends,
Today marks 2 months since my imprisonment without trial - away from my family, my wife, my little son, and my mother. But also away from my work at the municipality and my campaign, the two passions of my life.
I just wanted to thank you for your kindness and support towards Kai and Ajola, as well as our two mothers - 3 women without their husbands, but with courage and dignity thanks to you for being there for them!
I am still without accusations from an anonymous person who does not exist. No one has come forward to say that I have corrupted you. No one has yet come forward to say that I have corrupted you. Anyone who knows me knows that every day of my work I have helped anyone, anywhere, anytime with honesty.
So, since my opinions on this grotesque process have been forbidden, to those who have found my family, I say from the bottom of my heart, "Thank you"!
I will never forget them!
