The Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, Vali Bizhga, has left the position she has held for many years next to Edi Rama.
Known as the prime minister's right-hand man, Bizhga has been a close part of his team since he headed the Municipality of Tirana.
Bizhga has maintained a low public profile, but is considered one of the key figures in the leadership structure of the Prime Minister's Office.
It is learned that the reason for the resignation is related to health problems that influenced her decision to withdraw from executive functions.
The surprise of the movement comes from the selection of her successor, who will again be a woman. It is learned that this is Vilma Premti, who until a few days ago held the position of chief of staff of the President of the Constitutional Court, Olta Zaçaj.
Premti is expected to officially assume her new position as the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff in the coming days.
