The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has decreed a series of changes in Albania's diplomatic missions, dismissing five ambassadors and appointing two others to new positions.
The Head of State has signed the release from duty of several senior diplomats, including Mr. Riza Poda , who held the post of ambassador to the People's Republic of China, and was non-resident accredited to several Asian countries, including Bangladesh, North Korea, Vietnam, Mongolia and Thailand.
Also, Mr. Bardhyl Canaj , ambassador to the Republic of Serbia, and Mr. Sami Shiba , ambassador to Egypt and simultaneously accredited to several countries in the Middle East and North Africa, including Syria, Jordan, Libya, Palestine, Lebanon and Sudan, have been relieved of their duties.
The list of releases also includes Ms. Vasilika Hysi , ambassador to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, as well as Ms. Albana Dautllari, ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and simultaneously accredited to Luxembourg.
Meanwhile, President Begaj has decreed the appointment of Mr. Gazmend Barbullushi as ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, with accreditation also to Luxembourg.
Also, Ms. Albana Dautllari has been appointed to a new position as Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the European Union.

Ms. Vasilika Hysi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Albania to the United Nations Office and Other International Organizations in Geneva, resident;
Ms. Albana Dautllari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Kingdom of Belgium, resident, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, non-resident.
Also, the President of the Republic decreed the appointment of:
