Everything will depend on the massiveness of the protest and its sustainability. If the protests take the form of what the Democrats themselves describe as 'boulevard rallies', then they will hardly be able to put a majority of 83 seats in Parliament and a Prime Minister who has long ignored the opposition and its demands in difficulty.
The Democratic Party has announced that on November 17 it will hold a protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, the first since the heavy defeat in the May 11 elections, where the opposition led by Sali Berisha failed to obtain more than 50 parliamentary mandates.
The protest will be in the format of a tent, similar to the one installed 8 years ago by Lulzim Basha, but this time it has been baptized with the name 'citizen's parliament'.
The opposition action is a test not only for Berisha, but for any of his mandated people, in terms of supporting or inspiring citizens to join the action.
The November 17 protest is expected to be the first in a series of rallies that the Democrats plan to organize in Tirana against the Rama Government. The strategy is to organize a protest every week, where citizens will hold speeches on the 'Dëshmorët e Kombit' boulevard in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, but everything will depend on the massiveness of the November 17 protest.
On Wednesday evening, one of the Democratic MPs, Besart Xhaferri, considered Lulzim Basha's 2017 tent as a success, which was concluded with the May 17 agreement between him and Edi Rama. He said that because of the tent, there was a 'landing' of internationals in Tirana, forcing Rama to accept a Government, where the most important positions were given to the Democrats. In fact, the main demand of the DP at that time was that Edi Rama not be Prime Minister, which was not achieved.
Today, the same request is being articulated by Sali Berisha and others in the DP, with almost the same arguments as Lulzim Basha declared 8 years ago, supported by the same names that are now with the former prime minister.
One of the main reasons why Berisha has called this protest is to return the Parliament to the citizens, claiming that with each session the opposition's space is getting smaller. But not only that, the scandals that have involved the Government, according to the opposition, weigh on the pockets of citizens, who must react against what they consider to be the thefts of the century.
Politically, it seems that the protest is part of a strategy to intensify pressure on the majority. Through them, the opposition will show that it will not only be "within the system", but also on the streets, to exert pressure. At the same time, through the protests, the democratic electorate, which has been in the minority for 12 years and is counting successive electoral losses, will be kept mobilized.
But everything will depend on the massiveness of the protest and its sustainability. If the protests take the form of what the Democrats themselves describe as 'boulevard rallies', then they will hardly be able to put in trouble a majority that counts 83 seats in Parliament and a Prime Minister who has long ignored the opposition and its demands.
But if the government feels the pressure, then the moment for negotiations may come, to give the Berisha-led opposition the space it claims in parliamentary life, including the establishment of Investigative Commissions, or to open a dialogue between its representatives and those of the majority.
In this context, several issues are at play, ranging from constitutional changes to electoral and territorial reforms. And this would be a positive scenario.
Meanwhile, the most negative scenario is that the protests do not receive the necessary popular support, preventing the opposition from demonstrating its strength.
This risks that the lack of support will lead to the use of aggressive rhetoric, which could be perceived by some as “confrontational” and lead to high polarization. This could lead to clashes between protesters and law enforcement, while history has shown that this favors the Government more.
In this context, the protests will simply remain repeated actions, which may further strengthen the public's perception of Edi Rama as Prime Minister and his government. /Pamphlet/
Një nga arsyet kryesore pse Berisha ka thirrur këtë protestë ka të bëjë me atë që Parlamenti tu kthehet qytetarëve, duke pretenduar se çdo seancë e më shumë hapësirat e opozitës po ngushtohen.???????? Por nëse qeveria ndjen presionin, atëherë mund të vijë momenti i negociatave, opozitës së drejtuar nga Berisha t’I jepet hapësira që pretendon në jetën parlamentare, përfshi edhe ngritjen e Komisioneve Hetimore?????????Dmth këta kanë hallin komisioneve (që nuk kanë zgjidhur kurrë asgjë) dhe të pagesave që marrin për pjesmarrje në komisione. Kanë tërë kohës që humbin zgjedhjet dhe nuk mban asnjëri përgjegjësi me dorëheqje, dhe zgjidhja na qënka të drejtat për komisione parlamentare. Dmth quajnë zgjedhjet dhe parlamentin një farsë, por duan të drejta nga farsa. E vetmja gjë paska ngelur teatri i çadrës para kryeministrisë, me justifikimin se edhe çadra e Bsshës pati sukses. Cili qe suksesi? Humbja e radhës apo ca poste ministrash para zgjedhjeve?
Triblime te tilla mafiozesh nuk kane te bejne me xhepin e qytetareve, por me fatin gjyqesor te kriminelit non grata, ndaj duhet abandonuar si mashtrim shpellaresh. E vetmha zgjudhje eshte largimi I ketij krimineli nga kreu I opozites dhe vendosja e nje dialogu te ri mes opozites dhe qytetareve
Protestat jane pazar Rama-Berisha. Synohet qe Berisha te paraqitet tiger (prej letre) para nderkombetareve , ne menyre qe Rama te mbeshtetet nga nderkombetaret per te perballuar kete tiger "qe mund te vije ne pushtet?!?!?" Ne thelb, synohet qe Rama te ruaj pushtetin feudal qe ka, duke tentuar qe bashke me Berishen te mund te shkaterrojne reformen ne drejtesi e per rrjedhoje te perfitoje edhe Berisha per te mos shkuar ne burg, po te denohet ne ndonje sherbim prove.....
