Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the presentation of the GRECO report on the fight against corruption, said that the justice system in Albania is still in the 'stone age'.
He emphasized that he will implement a new wave of reforms.
Rama said the prosecution and police continue to conduct interviews, without audio or video.
"In the justice system, we are still in the Stone Age. We conduct interviews in the prosecution and in the police, in fact, without audio and without video. Interviews in the prosecution are done like in the Stone Age. I see you, you see me, I ask you, you tell me and I write what I want. This has been highlighted by international institutions and is one of the things that needs to change," said Rama.
Meanwhile, he reiterated that support for SPAK will continue.
"We will support the justice system, SPAK, GJKKO and other institutions, and hope that the digital management system of all issues related to the judicial system will finally become a reality," said Edi Rama.
