The political leader of the Elbasan district, Arbjan Mazniku, said that according to their projections, the Socialist Party is expected to win 83 mandates, and that they expect to win a 9th mandate in Vlora, reaching a total of 84 mandates.
" The 83rd mandate is safe and will be taken again. We are doing the analysis based on the number of votes, which are 16%, and that mandate will be taken by the SP. But it doesn't end here, we will go to 84 mandates, as we will take the 9th mandate in Vlora, while the Democratic Party will only take three mandates in Vlora ," Mazniku said in a live link for Euronews Albania.
Regarding Elbasan, Mazniku emphasized that the SP had individuals with different professions, while their opponent, according to him, could not get more than 5 mandates. He added that the citizens were smart and knew how to make the right choice.
" I believe that in these elections the main factor was the organization of the SP, a horizontal structure that maintains constant communication with citizens. The SP has a structure that systematically lives with the people over the course of four years. The SP had a new team on the ground and has the capacity to be systematically renewed with new people ," said Mazniku.
He also emphasized that there may have been Democrats who felt unrepresented and decided to vote for the Socialist Party in these elections.
