The situation at CEAZ 40 in Tirana has calmed down. Initially, there were tensions and clashes, as some ballots were contested by the counters, as they were a slightly different color than the normal ballots and there were suspicions that they might be forged.
The votes were for Agron Shehaj's party and this brought strong reactions, as Mundësia is fighting for a mandate in Tirana. But after clashes and debates, the CEAZ finally decided to consider those ballots legal.
According to the candidate of the Opportunity Party, Erald Kapri, 7 votes from his subject were initially declared invalid without any legal explanation:
" The votes were scanned, counted, when suddenly 7 votes for Opportunity were declared invalid, without giving a reason. Then they said they would make it 3 and then claimed that the color of the ballot paper was pale. These ballot papers were not shown to our observers according to the rules ," declared Kapri.
After the debate escalated, the CEAZ decided to expel all observers. The police also arrived.
