The Deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, reacted to the statement of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, who said that the salary increase for the month of May has been postponed and that there will be no allowances for the employees of the administration.
By means of a reaction on social networks, Tabaku described this as a "senseless procrastination by the government". She emphasized that the promise of a salary increase was an unpaid campaign advertisement and that it was not based on correct budget calculations.
The democratic deputy said that incompetence and proud insistence on it should not be an excuse for postponing a law approved in parliament and decreed.
"The government's senseless procrastination with salary increases when it has been advertising them since December and after they were approved in parliament shows that the promise of salary increases was unpaid campaign advertising and was not based on correct budget calculations.
I don't know how to understand the Minister of Finance who has been saying for months that the money is there, that the effects have been calculated, that it will come into effect today and tomorrow.
Incompetence and proud insistence on it should not be an excuse for delaying a law passed in parliament and enacted. The Minister of Finance, who gets confused in the accounts, is incapable of managing the tax coffers of Albanians," writes Tabaku.
