Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama is leaving for Italy this afternoon.

It is learned that the head of the government is expected to hold a meeting tomorrow with his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, while today Rama will meet with the President of the Senate.

Rama will not participate in the tributes that will be performed in honor of former president Napolitano.

Meanwhile, this Tuesday the Euro-Balkan ministerial was also held in the capital, where Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present at this meeting.

During his speech at the Forum of Ministers of Economy entitled, "Common regional market - a step towards the EU Single Market", he stated that the EU needs the Western Balkans as much as the Western Balkans need the EU.

"This process started under the auspices of Chancellor Merkel in 2014 when, for the first time in history, leaders from all over the Western Balkans sat around a table to talk about the future of their countries.

As Merkel said, a strong and healthy tree has grown, we are already seeing the fruits because the tree has grown.

At this defining moment for Europe, the time has come to think outside the box, and this is what we are trying to do with this summit. What we are feeling from all the communications with our great friends of the EU.

Yesterday I held an exhaustive conversation with our friend from the French government, which was a conversation that 5 years ago would have been impossible to have," said Rama.
