The Socialist Party has won Kukës with a deep margin of votes, even compared to the result of May 14. The former leader of the DP, Ibsen Elezi, said that this decline has nothing to do with the socialists' campaign, but with the way the opposition worked.
In an interview for "Report TV", Elezi said that it was the fault of Berisha and Bardhi's group that they chose to give the message of unity from Kukësi, with the meeting they held among the deputies. According to him, this message turned into the opposite.
"The scandal produces an effect on public opinion and the second SP because of this scandal put a controversial figure of Gjic. After the conflict with Gjici in 2001, Halili broke away from Kukësi and came to Tirana. Halili followed a strategy of not dealing with central SP figures in his support, only two or three ministers who have been to a concert. He built it with Majko and local exponents. It has the advantage that it takes a long time to make contact with the base. Vata has a short period, less than three weeks. PD itself lost this advantage.

On the other hand, the journalist Flogert Muça said that the Socialist Party has run a model campaign and this has also brought an increase compared to May 14.
"On May 14, SP and Gjici received 11,000 votes, PD 9,500. The difference is 2,500 more than SP. Today SP received 13 thousand votes, Reestablishment 7 thousand 400. From May 14, SP has increased by 1500 votes plus after the scandal, the reestablishment has fallen. This result is not just Kukes's. Before 3 weeks, we were on Report Tv with the survey of Zaloshnja, that the doctor had suffered a fall from May 14. We are dealing with a general lack of confidence in the Democrats. The fact that Basha has not entered, hints that Basha has increased the votes in Kukës, as long as the democrats who refused to vote for Vata have increased by 2,500. Every vote that the doctor lacks will most likely go to Basha." said Muça.
