Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that war must be avoided by any means, stressing that through smaller conflicts a war can be ignited not only in the Balkans, but in Europe and the world.
In the Ministerial of the Ministers of Economy, Rama emphasized that today that the war is at our doors, in Kosovo, it is important not to see the war as a video game, but as a catastrophe that we must avoid by any means.
"I strongly believe that the better the atmosphere of cooperation, the better the space to tackle difficult issues. To agree, to disagree, has not prevented us from finding common ground and working together in many areas. 600 thousand commercial companies in the Western Balkans have benefited from trade activities, from the removal of barriers, from joint fairs.
I want to quote without permission the dear French friend we have here, who yesterday reminded me of something essential that should not be forgotten but relies on examples, such as the Franco-German one. He told me that his grandparents saw it with their own eyes and precisely from the terrible sights, from the terrible memories of what the war meant for France and Germany, France decided to extend a hand of cooperation to Germany, it was a brave gesture at that time , this paved the way for the Europe we have.
Today that war is at our doorstep, in Ukraine, it is important not to see war as a video game, but as a catastrophe to be avoided by any means, anywhere, in any form, even through the smallest conflicts since history of the region is enough to ignite a Balkan war, but also a European and world war.
We must make this region a thriving ground for people. I thank the Chambers of Commerce. Every day there is a need to do more. We need more Europe in the Western Balkans and access to the EU organism, of its many organisms, that's what it's about. This Saimit and these steps towards October 16, where all the leaders gather in Tirana for this they spoke. I look forward to the results of this meeting and we will certainly do our best to give more to the people who give their time, their energy, all their work for our savings, because we have many opportunities. The growth of the last few years has shown that what we can do by opening up to each other, transforming this region into this space that is good for all those working people and enterprises, said Rama.
