Rama did not run for MP, Albanian doctor joins Farage in England
Christ the Pope

Doctor Kristo Papa, who has been living and working in London for several years, became part of the "SP Political Academy" with the good will to be a candidate from the diaspora for deputies under the SP banner, in the May 11 parliamentary elections.

But he could not be included in the final list of SP candidates. This development did not discourage cardiologist Papa from giving up politics.

Now Dr. Papa has made a new and bold choice, joining the far-right party in Great Britain, such as Nigel Farage's Reform UK, which is known for its harsh anti-immigrant rhetoric with an Albanian accent.

The poster published on the party's social platform "Refprm UK Barnet" confirms Kristo Papa's candidacy to become this party's municipal councillor for the High Barnet area in north London.

The poster is accompanied by a photo of Dr. Kristo Papa with the caption “Vote Reform UK, we can change Barnet.” The Barnet branch of Reform UK says:

“Reform UK is proud to introduce Dr. Kristo Papa, our new candidate for High Barnet, and if Reform UK is elected to lead Barnet next May, Dr. Papa will serve as the Cabinet Member for Health & Social Services for Adults — bringing unrivalled experience, senior leadership and a deep understanding of patient care to a service in urgent need of reform, integrity and accountability.

"With his leadership, we can finally turn around the damaged adult social care service in Barnet, restore the right support for vulnerable residents and rebuild a service that is safe, efficient and compassionate."

"A vote for Reform UK in Barnet is a vote for real expertise, real change and real leadership. Together, we can turn Barnet around for the better."

As of the publication of this news, Kristo Papa has not responded to Top Channel's question about why he chose to run for a political party like Reform UK, which has clearly expressed its opposition to immigrants.

A few days ago, Prime Minister Kerry Starmer declared that "Reform UK leader Nigel Farage must answer many questions about his party's links to Russia."

Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform UK for Wales, admitted taking money to make statements in favour of Russia. Gill was sentenced to 10 years in prison after taking money from an agent to make pro-Russian propaganda.
